Although Irrational Man (review) and Inside Out yield lesser interest than other Cannes titles by dint of having close release dates, there are still worthwhile things to be gleaned from Cannes press conferences held for either film. On the one hand, you have Woody Allen‘s (to my mind, still-amusing — relentless cynicism; on the other, you have a deeper understanding of how Pixar shaped one of their more creatively ambitious films in some time.
Coupled with this is a pair of clips from Irrational Man and terrific articles on either project — one an extensive Allen interview at Deadline (broken clocks, etc.) and the other a Telegraph examination of Pixar’s attempts to diversify their future work. Will any of these give you a greater desire to see the films in question? I can’t speak for you, but, personally, these were good listens and reads at the very least.

Inside Out opens on June 16th while Irrational Man opens on July 17th.
