As if Ashton Kutcher didn’t convey everything there is to know about the man, this fall will bring not one, but two Steve Jobs-centered films. The first comes in the form of a documentary as Alex Gibney has completed yet another project, this one titled Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine. Premiering at SXSW, the first trailer has now arrived which looks to take a hard-hitting look at the man with a variety of interviews.
Next up, Danny Boyle‘s Michael Fassbender-led Steve Jobs (see a new trailer here) has been set for a centerpiece screening at the 53rd New York Film Festival on Saturday, October 3, six days before it enters a wide release. “You hear that a bio of Steve Jobs is being produced, and of course you see multiple possible movies in your head . . . but not this one,” NYFF’s Kent Jones said. “Steve Jobs is dramatically concentrated, yet beautifully expansive; it’s extremely sharp; it’s wildly entertaining, and the actors just soar—you can feel their joy as they bite into their material.”

Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine opens on September 4th, while Steve Jobs opens on October 9th.
