The next few months will see a great amount of festival favorites finally making their way to screens and we’ve got new art from two of the most-anticipated. First up, at the end of the month, Jeff NicholsTake Shelter follow-up Mud will be hitting theaters nearly a year after it debuted at Cannes. Led by the rejuvenated Matthew McConaughey, we said this “marks a step forward for Nichols as a filmmaker capable of making big entertainment that retains some intelligence and a palpable message as well.”

We’ve also got a batch of new stills featuring cast members Tye Sheridan, Jacob Lofland, Sam Shepard and Reese Witherspoon and a French poster, but before we get to that, a new international one-sheet has landed for what is easily the best movie of the year thus far. Smart filmgoers avoided the spoiler-filled trailer last week for Richard Linklater’s Before Midnight, and as we said in our spoiler-free review from Sundance, the film “establishes [the trilogy] as one of – if not the – great American chronicles of our time, touching on most every real conflict in the lives of those in love with a modest, caring and honest hand.” Check it out below featuring Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy, taken from a production still.
