With music being a vital element in Joel and Ethan Coen‘s next movie, Inside Llewyn Davis (our review), when pressed at Cannes if there would be live element to the release, music producer T-Bone Burnett revealed that something was in the works. Timed with the unveiling that the film will be part of New York Film Festival, we’ve now got an answer as to what CBS Films has planned.

The distributor announced the live event today, titled Another Day, Another Time: Celebrating the Music of Inside Llewyn Davis. Set for Sunday, September 29th, 2013 at The Town Hall in New York City, the event is produced by the Coens themselves and will feature live performances of the film’s music, as well as songs from the early legendary 1960s era that inspired it. National Recording Preservation Foundation will also receive a portion of the proceeds.

Not only will Oscar Isaac, John Goodman and Carey Mulligan take part (but no Justin Timberlake), The Avett Brothers, Joan Baez, Rhiannon Giddens of the Carolina Chocolate Drops, Lake Street Dive, Colin Meloy of The Decemberists, Milk Carton Kids, Marcus Mumford, Conor Oberst, Punch Brothers, Secret Sisters, Patti Smith, Gillian Welch & Dave Rawlings, Willie Watson and Jack White will all perform. Check out the official poster for the event below and head over to the site tomorrow (8/20) to get tickets.
