Feliz Cinco de Mayo! In honor of the Mexican holiday, director Robert Rodriguez has released a special trailer for his upcoming exploitation film Machete starring Danny Trejo.
The trailer draws upon the current Arizona immigration laws that have been making headlines with Trejo’s character giving a special Cinco de Mayo message to the troubled state. Machete was originally conceived as a spoof trailer as part of the Grindhouse double feature from both Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino but the Mexican American director has extended it to a full length feature.

Machete hits theaters on September 3rd from 20th Century Fox and features an ensemble cast including Robert De Niro, Lindsay Lohan, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Don Johnson and Cheech Marin.
