One of the last fall festival films we had previously not seen any footage of was the latest from Anvil director Sacha Gervasi. While (hopefully) each and every one of you out there has experienced the Alfred Hitchcock classic Psycho, we’re about to get another look at the film — specifically the behind-the-scenes creation. Based on Stephen Rebello‘s novel, Hitchcock follows Anthony Hopkins as the master of suspense and we’ve got the first trailer today.
Diving into the struggles to make the picture, both from an audience that thinks its too lowbrow and a studio that thinks it may be too violent, it actually looks like a solid recreation of these events — especially for any film fan. Check out the trailer below for the drama also starring Helen Mirren, Scarlett Johansson, Danny Huston, Toni Collette, Jessica Biel, Michael Stuhlbarg, James D’Arcy, Michael Wincott, Richard Portnow and Kurtwood Smith.
Hitchcock arrives on November 23rd.
