No, this is not a shot-by-shot Gus van Sant remake. Instead, Sacha Gervasi’s upcoming film Hitchcock follows the master filmmaker during the making of his classic Psycho. As we know, Alfred Hitchcock will be portrayed by Anthony Hopkins, but now looks at the rest of the cast has been revealed, thanks to a People Magazine article.
Below one can see Scarlett Johansson in the iconic shoes of Janet Leigh, while Jessica Biel screams as Vera Miles, Helen Mirren is by Hitchcock’s side as his wife Alma Reville and lastly, James D’Arcy as the unsettling Anthony Perkins. Unfortunately no looks yet at Toni Collette, Michael Stuhlbarg, Ralph Macchio and Danny Huston, but this should do for now before a trailer arrives. Check out the photos below for the film that will premiere early next month at AFI Fest.
Update: Official photos have now arrived thanks to Fox Searchlight (via IMDb) ahead of the trailer premiere later this week.
