With a trailer coming this week, attached to Green Lantern, Entertainment Tonight has premiered butchered our first look at the highly anticipated film from Capote‘s Bennett Miller, who took over after Steven Soderbergh dropped last minute. The drama, written by this year’s The Social Network Oscar-winner Aaron Sorkin, is based on Michael Lewis‘ nonfiction bestseller Moneyball: The Art of Winning an Unfair Game. It stars Brad Pitt, Jonah Hill, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Robin Wright, Stephen Bishop, Kathyrn Morris, and Chris Pratt.
I’ve heard fantastic things from test screenings that were held a few months, and while this footage is chopped up and has incessant voice-overs, I can definitely see why. Miller provides a different style to Sorkin’s dialogue then what David Fincher did in The Social Network, and I can’t wait to see what the entire film brings. I’ve also heard very strong things about Jonah Hill stepping outside his usual roles. For now, check out the footage below via The Playlist and come back for the trailer.
