The last we heard about an adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra‘s Y: The Last Man series was with Eagle Eye director D.J. Caruso and his star Shia LaBeouf. Both have moved on to different projects and nothing came of it.

Now Latino Review reports via a “trusted source” that the project about “one young adult’s journey through a world without men” has been revived. New Line bought the rights for “almost a million” and feud between the President and Chairman of the company has stalled the adaptation. Now it’s back with The Incredible Hulk and upcoming Clash of the Titans director Louis Leterrier attached. The source also says don’t count on Leterrier directing The Avengers film, which was rumored last week.

Brian K. Vaughn, who wrote a few LOST episodes as well just went out with a new spec script, The Vault, this week. The Playlist read it and callled it a “a fun, futuristic & post-apocalyptic adventure”. Check out their full review here and more news on The Vault and Y: The Last Man as they develop on TFS.

Do you want to see Y: The Last Man adapted? What about Leterrier to direct?
