We’ve seen a variation of this footage in recent international trailers and TV spots, but Fox has officially released a second, online-exclusive trailer for X-Men: First Class on their Facebook page. We can only assume this is a peace offering to fans for the horrendous posters that have been released thus far. I thought the first trailer was better done, but this shows off a few new pieces of action. Honestly, I’m just waiting for the film to come out so Fox can stop its marketing misfire. Check out the trailer below.

The cast for Matthew Vaughn‘s blockbuster includes James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, Morgan Lily, Zoe Kravitz, and Bill Bilner.

Synopsis: X-MEN FIRST CLASS charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga, and reveals a secret history of famous global events. Before mutants had revealed themselves to the world, and before Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Not archenemies, they were instead at first the closest of friends, working together with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to prevent nuclear Armageddon. In the process, a grave rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto’s Brotherhood and Professor X’s X-Men.

X-Men: First Class will hit theaters June 3rd, 2011.

Do you still have hope in the film after the terrible marketing?
