Joss Whedon, writer/director behind series such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Firefly, has supposedly teamed with award-winning director Morgan Spurlock for a documentary about the San Diego Comic-Con International. The film will focus on three super geeks (which are currently being searched for), following them in the three months leading up to the Comic-Con, as well as during the convention, offering unique insight into fanboy culture.
The Comic-Con is an annual four-day event, showcasing comic books, science fiction/fantasy films and television shows, and various other elements of pop culture (i.e. video games, anime, collectible card games), attracting over 100,000 attendees.
Plans for the documentary are still in the preliminary stages, but it is definitely a project worth watching.
