Insistent not to just go ahead and release the whole cast list all at once, we’ve been literally getting each member of the ensemble for Wes Anderson‘s next project one by one. And even as some drop out, again one by one, the Moonrise Kingdom director is lining up quite a promising set of actors for The Grand Budapest Hotel, and another has come in today.
Ever since launching his career in Rushmore, Anderson has worked closely with Jason Schwartzman and to no one’s surprise, Movies.com has confirmed with the actor that he’ll be taking a part in his next film. The European-set film will also include regular cohorts Bill Murray and Owen Wilson, along with newcomers Ralph Fiennes and Jude Law.
Schwartzman, who only showed up briefly in this summer’s Moonrise, said, “I’m going to be in it. Yes, I’m going to be in it. I’m playing Cousin Ben [from Moonrise]. No, I’m just kidding — wouldn’t that be crazy? No, but I’m excited about it. I’m very excited about it. It’s a beautiful movie.” And that’s unfortunately all we know, but hopefully the actor gets an expanded role compared to his scout troop character, as he was one of my favorite elements of that film.
Production kicks off soon for a hopeful 2013 release.
