Pixar‘s third installment of the Toy Story franchise sprinted out of the gates Friday, earning $41 million, the 8th highest Friday gross of all time. It continued to perform through the weekend, earning an estimated total $109 million (which could increase dramatically depending on Fathers’ Day theater-goers). This is Pixar‘s highest opening weekend to date, ousting The Incredibles by nearly $40 million.

The Karate Kid earned another hefty pay day in its second weekend, adding $29 million to its admirable $106 million total, while dropping 47%. It continues to outperform The A-Team which finished third this weekend. Hannibal and the boys have now earned just under $50 million, falling slightly into the disappointing category.

Farther down the chart, Jonah Hex predictably flopped in its opening weekend. It brought Warner Brothers only $5 million, and earned less than friendly reviews.
