Michel Gondry‘s superhero film, The Green Hornet, saw lots of green this weekend taking the top spot at the box office. The film a big departure from his previous films, is easily Gondry’s highest opening with 34 million. Coming in second is the Ron Howard comedy The Dilemma which opened with about half of the opening gross of Hornet with only 17 million. The big story, however, is the continued success of Oscar hopefuls The Kings Speech, Black Swan, True Grit and The Fighter which are all doing far better than expectations.
