With Jay Leno out (again), Jimmy Fallon brought The Tonight Show back to New York for the first time in over 40 years last night, and with it, he also recruited one of the city’s most iconic filmmakers. The show starts with A Spike Lee Joint, as the Brooklyn-based filmmaker lent his hand to direct the opening.
Running under 30 seconds, it begins with some notable locations around the city before Fallon makes his way into his new headquarters. Check it out below thanks to The Verge, as well as a collection of highlights from last night’s broadcast, with one video featuring a wealth of cameos. We’ve also embedded the entire first show, in case you wanted to take in the entire hour.
