As we noted in our Sundance review, Laurence Fishburne more or less returns to his Morpheus persona in the sci-fi adventure The Signal, but for a new Super Bowl ad he’s actually stepping back into the shoes of the character. Touting Kia’s K900 luxury sedan, the spot reportedly cost $12 million for the company and features the actor discussing “The Truth” when it comes to the vehicle.
While it features some fun nods to spoon-bending and agents, it seems about a decade too late, but one can check out the full 1.5-minute commercial below ahead of the Super Bowl this Sunday. We’ll also have our fingers crossed for the unlikely event of a Jupiter Ascending ad to go along with it.
What do you think of the ad?
