With the first screenings kicking off to a positive response this week, one can confirm that Kathryn Bigelow‘s hunt for Osama bin Laden film Zero Dark Thirty is one to put firmly on your must-watch list this season and while the production and Sony’s campaign has been tight-lipped, we’re now got more insight into the film thanks to two specials from ABC.
Airing during Nightline, one special runs around two minutes and the other over five, each providing behind-the-scenes looks, new footage and interviews with Bigelow and screenwriter Mark Boal. They are both fascinating looks, especially when it comes to some of the locales used and the background of Jessica Chastain‘s character, as well as convincing us just how much of this story we don’t know. Check them out below, with a hat tip to The Playlist.
Zero Dark Thirty lands on December 19th, before going wide on January 11th.
