The official trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1, due out this November, has just been released by Warner Brothers. While we have had trailers for the upcoming two part finale for this successful franchise, this is the first to solely focus on the first part of Deathly Hallows. Check out the trailer below via Yahoo.

Plot: “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” the seventh and final adventure in the Harry Potter film series, is a much-anticipated motion picture event to be told in two full-length parts. Part 1 begins as Harry, Ron and Hermione set out on their perilous mission to track down and destroy the secret to Voldemort’s immortality and destruction—the Horcruxes. On their own, without the guidance of their professors or the protection of Professor Dumbledore, the three friends must now rely on one another more than ever. But there are Dark Forces in their midst that threaten to tear them apart. Meanwhile, the wizarding world has become a dangerous place for all enemies of the Dark Lord. The long-feared war has begun and Voldemort’s Death Eaters seize control of the Ministry of Magic and even Hogwarts, terrorizing and arresting anyone who might oppose them. But the one prize they still seek is the one most valuable to Voldemort: Harry Potter.

Before a new Potter film is released there is always talk of it being the best in the franchise so far, and with a trailer as enjoyable as this, I can hardly separate myself from that cliche. Yes, Deathly Hallows Part 1 does look like it could be the best Potter film to date, but with that in mind it has a lot to live up to for die-hard fans that have been waiting for this finale ever since the release of Rowling’s book on July 21st, 2007. Director David Yates has clearly ensured that the seriousness of Harry’s final journey is the main theme depicted within the trailer. Unlike most Potter trailers there is no quirky slapstick scene to lighten the mood at the end, it is all dark in color and emotion. The scenes that we are shown also appear to be faithful the book, including the seven Potters and Voldemort’s visit to Dumbledore’s grave (rumored to be the ending point for Part 1).

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 will be out November 19, 2010 and Part 2 is due to hit theaters on July 15, 2011.
