After finishing his blockbuster smash hit The Avengers, Joss Whedon went in the opposite direction with his black-and-white, miniscule-budget Shakespeare adaptation Much Ado About Nothing. It looks like another one of his Marvel colleagues is going the same route and today we have our first look at the results.
After helming Captain America: The First Avenger, director Joe Johnston recruited The Social Network star Max Minghella for the Blumhouse thriller Not Safe For Work, which follows our lead trapped by a killer in his office. Unfortunately there looks to be no buzz for this one for a reason, with this visually bland and cliche-filled trailer. Check it out below which, unlike Whedon’s small-scale effort, is going to straight to DVD this spring.
From the director of Captain America: The First Avenger and The Wolfman comes a psychological thriller about an unsuspecting office worker, Tom Miller (Max Minghella, The Social Network), who becomes trapped in his office building with a demented Killer (J.H. Field, Captain America: The First Avenger). As Tom rushes to protect those employees working late, he soon discovers that his legal firm has been hiding sinister secrets that could put thousands of lives at risk. From the producer of Paranormal Activity and Insidious, comes a terrifying, psychological thriller where an ordinary office becomes a twisted killing ground.
Not Safe For Work hits DVD on April 15th.
