While Netflix’s formula thus far has been to have all of their media offerings available at any and all times, they are trying something a bit different for an upcoming release. Home to Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and Da 5 Bloods, the final two performances from the latest Chadwick Boseman, they will be releasing a new documentary special on the late actor starting this week that’s available for only 30 days.
With interviews from Viola Davis, Denzel Washington, Spike Lee, Phylicia Rashad, Brian Helgeland, Tate Taylor, George C. Wolfe, and more Chadwick Boseman: Portrait of an Artist takes a look through the Oscar-nominated actor’s brief, but immensely impactful life. Set to arrive on Netflix this Saturday, April 17, at 3am ET, check out the new trailer below.
