After pointing you to Ennio Morricone‘s entire body of work on his birthday, it feels a bit sacrilegious to even discuss another composer on this day. However, when it comes to name recognition, it’s harder to imagine many other working composers that have the awareness as Hans Zimmer. Blame it on his nearly 200 scores or association Christopher Nolan or simply on the BRAMMs themselves, but his fanbase has gotten so large that he’s launching his first-ever tour.
Set for just Europe now, it starts on April 16th at London’s SSE Arena and wraps up a few weeks later on May 16th at Sofia’s Stadthalle. “Performing a tour like this is something that I have always wanted to do, and I am thrilled that the time has finally come,” Zimmer says (via CoS). “I am very excited to get some of my very talented friends together and give our audiences an experience unlike any concert they have ever been to before.”
