TIME Magazine has put out their latest controversy-stirring list and they’ve tackled the most pressing at hand, the Top 20 Worst Blockbusters of All-Time. Each summer there seems to be at least one turd, and the outlet attempts to chronicle the bottom of the barrel. This could easily be a must-see list for any drinking parties as well, if you are like me and love ridiculing a terrible piece of art. Check out the list below in today’s Daily Distraction and let us know if you agree or disagree in the comments.
20. The Last Airbender
19. Knight and Day
18. Hudson Hawk
17. Avengers
16 Transformers: Dark of the Moon
15. Stealth
14. The Haunting
13. Howard the Duck
12. Speed 2: Cruise Control
11. Green Lantern
10. Pearl Harbor
09. Catwoman
08. Wild Wild West
07. Waterworld
06. Godzilla
05. Batman and Robin
04. Battlefield Earth
03. Sex and the City 2
02. Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace
01. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
As for spots I disagree with, I actually quite enjoyed Knight and Day and can’t believe it is on this list. The Last Airbender should be way higher, and as much as I disliked it, I don’t think Dark of the Moon deserves a spot. I do agree with the other two Michael Bay films on here. And I know the collective hate for The Phantom Menace is strong, but does anyone actually think it is the number two worst summer blockbusters of all-time? The rest seem to comfortably fit, except possibly Green Lantern, which was more bland than horrendous.
What do you think should have made the list? What doesn’t deserve to be on here?
