It’s been reported around town that Joe Pesci and Al Pacino are currently in negotiations to join The Irishman, Martin Scorsese’s potential reunion with Robert De Niro, which tells the story of mob hit man Frank “The Irishman” Sheeran, based on the book I Heard You Paint Houses by Charles Brandt. If these deals go through, this thing will be the hottest commodity around, one of the most high-profile crime films in production since Casino and Heat, which starred all of these players in one capacity or another. Let’s hope these additions cause Scorsese to choose this project next after he’s done with Hugo Cabret.
