Tom Cruise surprised audience as the angry producer Les Grossman in 2008’s Tropic Thunder. There have been a few rumors of a movie, but last night at the MTV Movie Awards he confirmed to E! Online the following:
“We’re working on it,” he beamed. “Yup, we’re working on it.”
I found Grossman to be a hilarious gag in Tropic Thunder, but could never see an entire film about him being made. I said the same thing abut MacGruber though, and that turned out to be hilarious.
In other news the Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz action comedy Knight and Day has moved up two days to open on Wednesday, June 23rd. This could be to get a jump start on the box office behemoth known as Twilight: Eclipse, which opens June 30th. Check out Cruise as Grossman from last night below.
