If you’ve ever had the immense pleasure of watching Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, then the above headline should be enough to get you giddy as the day you bought your first Cinco product.
Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim are coming off their hilarious Adult Swim series to utilize their genius on the silver screen in what is currently titled Tim and Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie. Even better still, they’ll be re-teaming with a few regulars from the show such as Zach Galifianakis, John C. Reilly, Will Ferrell, Robert Loggia, Jeff Goldblum, Will Forte and William Atherton. The film will follow the titular duo (who will co-write and direct) “in a story about them making a movie for $1 billion dollars and the problems that arise from it.” [/Film]
Both men expressed their confidence and excitement about stepping into a feature film production, and I can feel the laughter brewing in my gut already. I’ve loved the show for some time, and am curious to see whether or not Galifianakis & Co. will reprise any of their roles in the film (one can only hope, but new material would be great, too). The film is set to be produced by Magnolia Pictures, with no word yet on start or release dates. More as it develops.
Are you a fan of Tim and Eric? Do you think that their comedy can adapt well to a feature-length?
