As the cameras roll on Jason Segel’s The Muppets, more and more details have been rolling out about the true-to-form string of cameo appearances the latest Muppet romp will contain.
Previously we told you of a long-list of rumored cameos and according to /Film, the current line-up guarantees appearances by Jack Black, Zach Galifianakis, Billy Crystal, Alan Arkin, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Kristen Schaal. Other actors/performers currently rumored to appear include: Eric Stonestreet, John Krasinski, Ed Helms, Lady Gaga, Babara Eden, Donald Glover, Danny Trejo, and Sean Penn.
And just when I thought this lineup couldn’t get any better, THR reveals the beautiful and wickedly funny Emily Blunt and my all-time favorite “chubby funster” Ricky Gervais have joined the cast! No details on the It Brits’ roles in the film, as they are being carefully kept under wraps … possibly like an appearance by Jane Lynch?
While I’m slightly concerned all these dropped details may exhaust my enthusiasm for the movie that will not open for 13 months, I can’t help myself. I mean, come on – it’s the Muppets!
