Precious won last year and Slumdog Millionaire the year before that. Now, Tom Hooper‘s crowdpleaser The King’s Speech has taken home the Cadillac People’s Choice Award at the 35th Toronto International Film Festival. I never got to check it out here, since the only press screening was opposite Darren Aronofsky‘s Black Swan. Weinstein Company will release it before the end of the year.
