We’re proud to announce the debut of our new official podcast, The Film Stage Show. Delivered weekly, our discussion will begin by dissecting a topic tied to recent film news or a current trend. We’ll then go into a feature review followed by a look ahead in home releases and theatrical offerings. The Film Stage’s associate editor Nick Newman and staff writer Danny King will join me each week with plans for guests to stop by in future episodes.
Kicking things off for our first episode we discuss the newfangled marketing trend of teasers for trailer, with Rian Johnson‘s Looper prompting the talk. Then we jump into a feature review of Drew Goddard and Joss Whedon‘s twisty tale of horror and comedy, The Cabin in the Woods. To end we dive into some home video picks, including Steve McQueen‘s Shame and Brad Bird‘s Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. Stream below or click to download (right-click and save as…).
