Sharlto Copley made a very impressive on-screen debut in 2009’s District 9, which has earned him a spot in the highly-anticipated summer action flick The A-Team. However, several years before the days of District 9, Copley began working on a small-time thriller called Spoon with co-writer and co-director Simon Hansen.
Thanks to his new found fame, Copley and Hansen have apparently found a distributor in Distant Horizon. First Showing seems to question the validity of this company, but nevertheless, the word is out regarding Spoon and in all likelihood, the film will be distributed somehow in the near future.
Twitch has debuted a short teaser for the film, which stars Rutger Hauer as Victor Spoon, a man who blacks out during moments of extreme stress. The film is reported to have supernatural overtones as well.
