With Tolkien week kicking off in celebration of the famous fantasy author, it means a batch of goodies for Hobbit fans are arriving. First up, Peter Jackson revealed to fans that a brand new theatrical trailer for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey will be arriving this Wednesday. Soon after the announcement USA Today debuted six new stills from the upcoming blockbuster and while nothing is revelatory, we get an icy new look at Gollum, as well as another image of Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins and Ian McKellan as Gandalf. Also included is what looks to be our first reveal of Radagast the Brown, played by Sylvester McCoy. Check out the images above and below and return later in the week for the trailer.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey opens on December 14th, and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug will hit theaters a year later on December 13th, 2013, then The Hobbit: There and Back Again lands on July 18th, 2014.
