Coming off the fall film festival circuit, the clear front-runner in terms of awards play seemed to be David O. Russell‘s drama Silver Linings Playbook. We put our praise behind the film, but now some audiences will get to check out the film a bit sooner than expected. The Weinstein Company announced today that they release the film in select markets next Friday, November 16th before a wide debut the following Wednesday.
We’ve also got some new material for the film including an exchange at a diner between our two leads, Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence, along with a TV spot. Aside from Danny Elfman‘s score, the film also features a strong soundtrack and a music video from Alabama Shakes, featuring their song Always Alright has also been released with footage from the film.
