If you like your knolls to be of the quiet variety, than today is your day. Following 2006’s Silent Hill, which videogame fans seemed to hate less than most adaptations of their medium, a sequel was inexplicably created and now we have proof in motion that it exists. Despite being a fan of Konami’s original videogame, which was more effective than many other horror copycats, I never had much interest in that first film and Michael J. Bassett’s new entry, based on the third videogame in the series, isn’t doing much to change my mind. Poor CGI, uninteresting plot and bland characters — something that seems to plague not only videogame adaptations, but many horror entries in general — won’t do much to get me into the theater for this.
