Despite the super-clandestine process M. Night Shyamalan goes through with each and every one of his screenplays, there’s a bit of plot to chew on for his new project, with Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow and Bruce Willis currently attached:

Cooper would play a father on a desperate search for his missing child.  It might stray into Taken terrain, but the father taps into some supernatural powers to aid the search. [Deadline via /Film]

Yawn. But I guess the man’s already exhausted a lot of interesting concepts: seeing dead people, ladies in water, wind killing people and air getting bent. So why not go back and essentially expand the last 20 minutes of your most underrated film, Unbreakable? Hell, he’s even got that film’s star, Bruce Willis, willing to go once more into the breach.

Originality, people, that’s what we’re looking for. Originality. No more retreads, please.

What do you think of this little taste of plot? Intriguing?
