After stopping by Terrence Malick‘s Knight of Cups set this summer, actor Shea Whigham is getting back to familiar territory for two upcoming projects. First up, we’ve got the more enticing prospect, which sees the Take Shelter actor return to the world of Boardwalk Empire writer Terrence Winter and director/producer Martin Scorsese for The Wolf of Wall Street.
Unfortunately there are no details on his role in the project, but we’ll see him on screen in late 2013 alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Matthew McConaughey, Jonah Hill, Jean Dujardin, Kyle Chandler, Margot Robbie, Jon Bernthal, Rob Reiner, Kenneth Choi, Cristin Milioti, P.J. Byrne, Ethan Suplee, Max Hoffman, Katarina Cas, Christine Ebersole and Jon Favreau in the film following one man’s downfall in the financial sector.
The actor will also be heading into the blockbuster spotlight with The Fast and the Furious 6 (or also possibly titled Fast Six) as he returns as Agent Michael Stasiak. While he skipped Fast Five, he last popped up in Fast & Furious for a brief period but hopefully director Justin Lin realizes this actor could certainly use more exposure and expands his role a bit. He’ll join Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Luke Evans, Joe Taslim and Gina Carano when the film hits theaters on May 24th, 2013.
