ComingSoon reports that J.J. Abrams much anticipated Star Trek will now have nationwide screenings starting 7pm on Thursday May 7th, a whole five hours earlier. If you haven’t seen the trailer, check it out below:
This is not uncommon as Transformers, Pirates 3, etc. have all done this. If a studio has faith in a film, these earlier screenings create more buzz and more money. Early reviews have been saying this could end up being the best summer film yet. I will be there at 7pm to let everyone know (or an early press screening God willing). This is probably my most anticipated summer flick, it looks outstanding.
