This new teaser poster (/Film via Entertainment Weekly) screams (get it?) of the tired and lackluster nature of enthusiasm and ambition behind these new set of Scream films:
Ghostface? Really? Ghostface. That’s the best you got? Okay then. Call it minimalism instead of laziness, which is hard in the first place, considering Wes Craven and Kevin Williamson (the two, smart men behind the satirically brilliant first Scream trilogy) couldn’t think of something else to do instead of doing Scream again. Again.
Let’s hope there are new rules. A lot of em. And different ideas. And maybe another Drew Barrymore? It’d be nice if that stayed the same.
Scream 4 opens April 15th, 2011.
Did you enjoy the first trilogy? Are you excited for the second?
