Young British actress Romola Garai is set to star in Lone Scherfig’s One Day, produced by Focus Features. [THR]
Day tells the story of two friends (Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess) who meet one day every year for two decades, slowly realizing they’re meant for each other.
Garai will play the woman Sturgess’ character weds and then eventually divorces. So much for spoilers.
The young actress’ burgeoning resume includes Atonement, Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights and BBC’s Emma. This will certainly help.
