THR reports 20th Century Fox has rearranged much of their 2011 and you can see the changes below, most notably one of their biggest summer blockbusters moving to winter.

  • Rise of the Apes, starring James Franco and Freida Pinto, will now open Thanksgiving weekend on November 23rd. The original date was on June 24th against Cars 2. It will now open next to Arthur Christmas, The Muppets, and Project X.
  • Andrew Niccol‘s sci-fi flick Now starring Justin Timberlake, Amanda Seyfriend, and Olivia Wilde will hit on Oct. 28, a whole month after its original Sept. 28th date.
  • Mr. Popper’s Penguins, starring Jim Carrey, will now open June 17, instead of August 12th. It will square off against The Green Lantern.
  • Jack Black and Steve Martin‘s The Big Year has its first date of October 14th.
  • After Your Highness in April, David Gordon Green‘s 2nd film of the year, The Sitter, will hit on July 15th, instead of June 24. It will go up against Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part Two.
  • Monte Carlo opens July 1 instead of Aug. 12
  • What’s Your Number? moves way back to Sept. 30th instead of April 29th.
