The first international trailer for director Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood has finally arrived, courtesy of ComingSoon. Starring Cate Blanchett and Gladiator’s Russell Crowe, Robin Hood follows the classic tale of the famed outlaw, Robin of Loxley, who strives to protect England from the treacherous plotting of Nottingham’s Sheriff. It’s hard to see how Scott could go wrong with this new version of Robin Hood. The popularity of a BBC television series by the same name in recent years has proven that interest in this famous philanthropist never dies. The trailer gives us an exciting taste of what looks to be some thrilling action sequences and exciting performances from the film’s lead stars.
Robin Hood also stars William Hurt, Matthew Macfadyen, Mark Strong, Oscar Isaac, Lea Seydoux, Scott Grimes, Kevin Durand, Alan Doyle, Danny Huston and Max von Sydow and hits theaters May 14.
