After taking on cancer with a surprising funny, poignant touch in 50/50, director Jonathan Levine has reunited with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen for The Night Before. Bringing along Anthony Mackie for the ride, the Christmas comedy follows three best friends who, following tradition, come together for one last night of craziness in New York City.
Ahead of a Thanksgiving release, the first red band trailer has arrived which delivers a great deal of laughs, Kanye West, Jewish jokes, and much more. With so many holiday films catering to a younger demographic, this looks to be a breath of fresh air this winter. Also starring Lizzy Caplan, Jillian Bell, Michael Shannon, and Mindy Kaling, check out the red band trailer and poster below.
Update: See the green band version below.
From Jonathan Levine, the acclaimed director of 50/50, comes the new comedy The Night Before. Ethan (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Isaac (Seth Rogen) and Chris (Anthony Mackie) have been friends since childhood, and for a decade, their yearly Christmas Eve reunion has been an annual night of debauchery and hilarity. Now that they’re entering adulthood, the tradition is coming to an end, and to make it as memorable as possible, they set out to find the Nutcracka Ball – the Holy Grail of Christmas parties.
The Night Before opens on November 25th.
