After saving the world in The Avengers and escaping the government in The Bourne Legacy this summer, Jeremy Renner is getting into some R-rated adventure early next year with Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters. Following the lackluster theatrical trailer and an international red band look, the official US red band trailer has arrived for the actioner, which marks the Hollywood debut from Dead Snow‘s Tommy Wirkola.
Thankfully this look is more promising, as we have a fairly light tone and not something as self-serious as Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter this summer. The move to January didn’t inspire confidence, but perhaps this will be a bloody fun time during the winter months.
