Penned by Aline Brosh McKenna (The Devil Wears Prada, 27 Dresses) and directed by Roger Michell (Venus, Notting Hill), the latest in romantic comedies for the over 40 set  – Morning Glory – has started its promotion campaign with a trio of character posters and a color-by-numbers trailer.

Courtesy of Cinema Blend, you can check out all of the above, below.

The trailer has hints of every harried-career girl flick cliche, so despite the acclaimed cast (Rachel McAdams, Harrison Ford, and Diane Keaton) the movie seems old-hat and lackluster. Which is also the word that comes to mind with the promo posters. Is it just me, or does the text-over-face treatment seem a desperate attempt to hide the hack photoshopping on the aged A-list stars?

Morning Glory opens November 12, 2010.
