After Superbad and Adventureland director Greg Mottola is collaborating with Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz stars Simon Pegg and Nick Frost for an alien road-trip comedy. We had a little teaser, but now Yahoo UK has the first full-length trailer. It certainly looks funny, but after loving Mottola’s last two films it will be difficult to live up to. The cast also includes Seth Rogen, Kirsten Wiig, Jason Bateman, Bill Hader, Jane Lynch and Sigourney Weaver. See the trailer below and a poster via Collider.
Synopsis: Two British comic geeks (Pegg and Frost) go on a road trip through America with the destination of San Diego Comic Con. On the way, they discover an alien named Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen) at Area 51. Chased by federal agents and the fanatical father of a young woman that they accidentally kidnap, Graeme and Clive hatch a fumbling escape plan to return Paul to his mother ship.
Paul hits theaters March 18th, 2011.
