After many, many months of careful planning and lengthy pre-production meetings and script rewrites, here’s a teaser trailer for the sequel to Paranormal Activity, which was released around 8 months ago. Paranormal Activity 2 will hit theaters about a year after the first. At least they’re not rushing em out like the Saw films.

The strangest thing about this sequel is the guy directing it: Tod Williams. Williams was behind nice, little indie ditties The Adventures of Sebastian Cole and The Door in the Floor. He’s been relatively quiet since Floor‘s 2004 release. So why this job? Why now? And why did the studio deem him the best choice?
Only time will tell. As for the teaser, it looks just fine. More of the same plus a dog and a kid. Upping the stakes. Well played.
