October 16th, 2009 is shaping up to be the greatest release date in movie history, well at least in recent memory. Vivendi Entertainment has revealed the anthology film project New York, I Love You will be released the same date as Where The Wild Things Are and The Road. Of course release dates could (and likely) will get changed around but as of now this is looking like quite the triple feature. Check out details of the film after the jump.
The film includes short films directed by Jian Wen, Mira Nair, Brett Ratner, Allen Hughes, Shekhar Khapur, Natalie Portman, Fatih Akin, Joshua Marston and Randy Balsmyer. The film’s ensemble cast includes: Bradley Cooper, Andy Garcia, Hayden Christensen, Rachel Bilson, Natalie Portman, Irrfan Khan, Emilie Ohana, Orlando Bloom, Christina Ricci, Maggie Q, Ethan Hawke, James Caan, Blake Lively, Drea de Matteo, John Hurt, Shia LaBeouf, Burt Young, Chris Cooper, Eli Wallach and Cloris Leachman. It screened at the Toronto International Film Festival as a work in progess and finally getting it’s release date this fall. Future films in the series are planned for Shanghai, Rio de Jainero, Berlin and Jerusalem.
I thought Paris, je t’aime was quick good, with a few gems. Considering I’m much more familar with New York, I can’t wait for the film!
