We’ve got two new one-sheets for a pair of December’s biggest films, both featuring iconic characters. Giving a nod to its original famous artwork, Universal has delivered a new poster for the upcoming musical Les Miserables, featuring Isabelle Allen, who plays a young Cosette (while Amanda Seyfried has the role of the older version) in Tom Hooper‘s adaptation. Also starring Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe, Anne Hathaway and Eddie Redmayne, we recently got a promising featurette for the film and now with its all-embracing tagline and the added “phenomenon” we’ve got a few months to wait to see if this one can deliver the goods.

Then following last week’s new trailer, Warner Bros. has debuted a new poster for Peter Jackson‘s The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. Featuring our star Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins, this one actually seems more in line with some of the posters for The Lord of the Rings as our main character is singled out. Also starring Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman, Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Ian Holm, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving, Elijah Wood, Evangeline Lilly, Andy Serkis and Richard Armitage, check out both posters below.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey lands on December 14th, while Les Miserables opens on December 25th.
