Jurassic Park IV may be a long ways off (if ever) but /Film is reporting you can still get your dinosaur fix in comic book form. IDW Comics and Universal Pictures have announced a new comic book series to be released in June. The title is Jurassic Park: Redemption. The story follows Tim and Lex Murphy, the grand kids of Park founder John Hammond, and takes place 13 years after their first appearance in the first movie.
It’s been 13 years since little Tim and Lex Murphy escaped from the island of Isla Nublar, and recent public opinion has reversed, with the world clamoring for authorities to re-open Jurassic Park! While Tim and Lex try to preserve the Hammond family name, a secret deal is hatched to open a new park! This time they’ll get it right… right?
The story is being written by new comic writer Bob Schrek with Nate Van Dyke doing the interior art. The covers will be done by different well known comic writers/drawers. The first (shown above) is done by Frank Miller followed by Arthur Adams, Paul Pope, Bernie Wrightson, and Bill Stout.
The first 32-page full color comic will be released sometime in June for $3.99.
