ComingSoon.net has received new set photos from the Vancouver shoot of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. Produced by J.J. Abrams and directed by Brad Bird, the fourth in Tom Cruise‘s pension fund – I mean, venerable franchise based on a fairly well-loved 60’s TV series – stars Cruise, Simon Pegg and Paula Patton, along with The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo‘s Michael Nyqvist as the villain.
Ghost Protocol may sound more like the subtitle to a Tom Clancy game – and a lame one, at that – but it’s directed by Brad Bird. Tom Cruise continues his mission to make a good sequel to Brian DePalma‘s fun original entry in the series. The film opens on December 16th, 2011.
