Not much is known about Cloverfield and Lost writer Drew Goddard‘s directorial debut, The Cabin In The Woods. The film was set to come out this year, but got delayed until 2011 so 3D could be added. It is now revealed by star Amy Acker (via SciFiWire) that it is indeed a (multiple) monster movie:
“There’s a lot of scary monsters. It’s a scary movie. It is about a cabin in the woods. You’ve figured it out. Yeah, it’s about a cabin in the woods. It does take from the sort of formula of the horror movie of this group of young kids who go away to a cabin in the woods for the weekend.”
This makes perfect sense, coming off Goddard’s work on Cloverfield, one of my favorite films of the last decade. The film also stars Richard Jenkins, Chris Hemsworth, Bradley Whitford, Jesse Williams and Kristen Connolly.
Cabin In The Woods hits theaters January 14th, 2011.
Are you more or less interested in Cabin now that its a monster movie?
