Coke Zero has launched a viral website for James Cameron‘s Avatar. The site can been found at AVTR.com. The viral site gives daily insight into the anthropological, biological and cultural advances the characters in the movie are making on the planet Pandora. The site says that Pandora “represents great hope for humankind.” They have also set up a Twitter and Facebook page to follow.
I also found a Japanese commercial late last night that reveals some new footage from the film. Check it out below.
I’m very curious if this viral will work to hype up Avatar, since the trailer and footage didn’t. I’m still very looking forward to the film after seeing the footage in IMAX. I also found it kind of odd that FOX has locked down all this footage, then they randomly release some in a new commercial.
